Our Landscaping team have been busy tidying up the Bougainvillea hedges at Thomas Park Bougainvillea Gardens.

Thomas Park Bougainvillea Gardens is a heritage-listed public park which was designed and built by Henry Thomas as a private garden from 1914 to 1918. The gardens were a tourist attraction for over forty years, bringing visitors from throughout Australia and overseas to view the Bougainvillea flower displays which comprised of many different bougainvillea cultivars bred by Henry. In the late 50s the gardens were converted to a park, with the gardens’ plan and many of its plants being retained to display a good example of a large urban-residential garden from the Federation period.

In our Queensland climate, bougainvillea plants flower all year round.

The gardens are on Harts Road, Indooroopilly and are free to enter.
